RSVP for the Fresh Start Breakfast!

The PTA will host a breakfast for all students on Friday, October 27 to reflect on their first semester goals and the setting of new ones. The breakfast will be served at the following times:

v 7:00 to 7:25 – for Band/Orchestra/Choir students

v 7:40 to 8:05 – for all other students

Please encourage your student to set their alarm a bit earlier on October 27 to participate in this event. The breakfast will be catered but we would greatly appreciate donations of gift cards to use as prizes. You can drop off the gift cards at Randa Barber's house - 243 North Clinton Ave or with the school administrative assistant. If you have any questions about the Fresh Start Breakfast menu, please go to the PTA website to review it.

Joining the Sandburg PTA is easy!        

Payments can be accepted by cash, check, or credit card.

Hate to wait in lines?  You can save time by paying for your PTA membership in advance. It’s simple and easy, and only take a few minutes:

  • Pay with credit card on-line at PTA webstore
  • Cash/check payers can go to Sandburg PTA website and print 2017-2018 Membership form from the PTA locker ( Fill out form and have check prepared in advance.

PTA Membership fees have remained unchanged for many years, despite the increase in fees owed to the National PTA organization.  All PTA programs at Sandburg are funded by Fair Share Fees and additional donations. The PTA does not ask families to do any additional fundraising.  We are striving for 100% compliance this year!

NEW!! Directory Spot App

New this year, Sandburg Middle School PTA will be offering our School Directory electronically to paid PTA members. We will be using Directory Spot to offer our information through an app. 


The app is very secure and only our paid PTA members will be granted access.   Each user will logon with their authorized email address and will set their password. If you would like more information on the security features, please click on this link:

Was you child just identified for REACH services?  Not sure what this means or how to support your child?  The REACH PTA is a parent group dedicated to supporting gifted and talented programs in District 205 and encouraging higher level educational opportunities for ALL District 205 students.  Our area of focus includes:

  • Providing parent resources for gifted and advanced learners
  • Organizing advocacy at local and national levels
  • Sponsoring and/or promoting academic-based extra-curricular activities that are accessible to all students
  • Collaborating with REACH teachers to provide additional resources and student opportunities.
