Spirit Wear Sale!

Order now so your student is ready to show their spirit when school starts in August!  Lots of new styles available this year! Just complete the attached order form and return to your school’s office.  Please make checks payable to Sandburg PTA.  Sale ends May 8.  Items will be delivered to your student’s school by year end.

6th Grade Skating Party-- Saturday, April 29th

The 6th Grade Skating Party will be Saturday, April 29th from 4-6pm at Lombard Roller Rink, 201 W. 22nd St., Lombard.

7th Grade Spring Social-- Sunday, May 7th

7th Grade Spring Social will be held Sunday, May 7th from 4:30-7 pm at Fischer Farm in Bensenville, located at 16W680 Grand Avenue, Bensenville.  In the event of heavy rain or severe weather, the event will be held at Sandburg.  A notification will be sent out to those that have RSVPd if the social is moved indoors. 

We will have a DJ for barn dancing, yard games, and a hayride.  Hotdogs from Southtown will be served along with chips, dessert, and water.

Last Blast Promotion Party-- Wednesday, May 31st

Parents,

For the past several years the Sandburg PTA along with the 8th grade parents have hosted a post-promotion party for the entire 8th grade class at a local banquet hall.  In the past, almost every student has attended this free, fun event celebrating the end of middle school!

Here are the details:

All Sandburg 8th graders invited!

The party will include light snacks, raffles (gift cards, York gear, etc.), photo booth and dancing with music provided by Entourage Entertainment, as well as a party favor to go!

Parents, we are looking for volunteers to help support the party.  Here are some ways you can help:

REACH PTA

Was you child just identified for REACH services?  Not sure what this means or how to support your child?  The REACH PTA is a parent group dedicated to supporting gifted and talented programs in District 205 and encouraging higher level educational opportunities for ALL District 205 students.  Our area of focus includes:

  • Providing parent resources for gifted and advanced learners
  • Organizing advocacy at local and national levels
  • Sponsoring and/or promoting academic-based extra-curricular activities that are accessible to all students
  • Collaborating with REACH teachers to provide additional resources and student opportunities.
