Sandburg Middle School

Linda Fehrenbacher

Welcome back to the 2016-2017 school year!  I am beginning my third year here so I have this eighth grade class as my first group to promote that I have known for three years.  I am starting my 27th year in public education, and am proud of Sandburg's students, staff, and parents.  We have a great community and many wonderful opportunities for students this year.

A little about me: I have 3 adult children, and 5 grandchildren.  My husband and I have a really old house that keeps us busy trying to maintain it.   I love to read and am in a 50 book challenge at my local library.  I enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.

We began this year as a staff working to create a learner centered culture.  This is a culture that is completely focused on learning for students and adults in the building.  Just as I am responsible for student learning, I am equally responsible for the adults learning.  We are devoting our time in PLC's, faculty, team, and late arrival meetings focusing on learning.

I am looking forward to this year, what opportunities are ahead, and want you to know you can reach out to me if you have questions or concerns.
